Value for money

Recently a friend asked me to set up a computer rig for him. This is nothing unusual as I do this few times a year and the rig is mostly the same with cosmetic differences. This time it wasn’t the same… Vista ready rig, as usual quality components, dual core AMD64, gigabyte of RAM, huge HDD and low-midend nVidia graphics card for just over 300 EUR!!! Throw in another 150 EUR and you have 19″ Asus widescreen. I’m staggered how fast the prices go down! It’s a pity that hi-end graphics cards are still in price as I would love to own something like 8800 Ultra or 9800X2. Any ideas?
